My... It's been THAT long???

Wow,

I really fell off fandom...

Anyway, if anyone that I used to know is still out there--hope you are well and life has been kind!

I'm doing my student teaching for Art starting in January...
Denver life has been okay--still miss Cali and my Disneyland.
Oldest daughter graduated and is doing Pastry Arts at college.
Youngest is still recovering from brain injury and is homeschooled.
Hubby still working hard.
Dogs are brats, but love them both.
All my family now lives in Denver, so that is the best part.

That's about it for me...

HP7 part 2

Saw the film on opening night, and overall, I enjoyed it.

No crying from me on anything.

Loved Snape parts, as always, I wanted more, more, more.

Pros and Cons on both--pretty much like what everyone else here as already stated, so I won't bother you with my thoughts too much.

I did however, have a major fan moment at the theater and must share.

So, walking into the theater, I saw this guy dressed as Snape. I couldn't stop staring at him! I saw him twice, and only after the second time, after he disappeared into a theater room, did I think, "Shell! Take a damn picture!" So... that was like at 8:00 pm. I didn't know what theater he was in, but I did know that he was with his wife (I saw their rings...) and guess what? She was Hermione!!!!

SS/HG was spotted in my theater! I was so excited.

So I saw Hermione come out once again to the concession stand, but Snape never did. So, I followed her, but lost her in the crowd as she turned one of the corners. But! At least I knew the general direction that my Snape was in.

Fast Forward to 11:15 pm. For the past 3 hours, me, my kids, my mom and my sister were on the lookout for Snape. If we went out of the theater room, you HAD to take your phone or camera, JUST IN CASE. Well, my sister decided to go out and get a refill of soda, and I happened to go with...

Standing in line, I saw his head over the crowd (yes, this dude was tall and thin like Snape is) and since my sister had the phone  with the camera on it, I pushed her out of the refill drink line and told her to follow him--she is quicker than me, you see. Well, I love my sister... she followed him inside his theater room and ASKED him to get a picture for her sister who was OBSESSED with Snape.

He obliged.

Sorry it is really dark, but the room was dark too and camera phones are not the greatest. Also, he posed like that, I guess... But, LOOK AT HIS NOSE! Best real Snape nose I have seen so far! LOL

Enjoy...Collapse )

Hi flist,

Thanks to those who prayed for well-wishes for my daughter who was hit by a car a month ago.

She is doing very well! She has moderate brain injury, but other than that, she is good. It will take about a year to heal her brian and for her to get back her higher level thinking that she once had. She is slightly off balance so now uses a cane to walk around and is out of school on homebound studies for the rest of the year.

Besides running around from doc appt to doc appt all last month, I haven't been up to much!

Please welcome a new friend to the fandom community though, justpinkpastel . Please friend her--she loves SSHG and is a huge cheerleader for the writers and artist!

My 30th birthday is later this month (OMG I"M OLD!) and don't know what to do for it. Any ideas from anyone would be lovely!!

Also, at the end of May, I'll be starting the Colorado teaching license program so I can teach art! I only have 6 classes to take before student teaching and I'm pretty excited about this...

That's all from me at the moment--hope everyone is doing well!

Hey friends,

Yesterday my 14 year old daughter was hit by a car on the way to school.

She is doing good, though. She has no broken bones, spine is great, no internal damges, BUT she does have a small fracture on her skull and some bleeds in her head, but she is doing good her nereologist says, who happens to be the same doc for the Denver Broncos Football team, so she is in good hands.

I know I said I'd try to be around  more this year, but this is more important, but I will keep giving updates when I can.

Thanks.

I hate you, blogger.worm!!!!!!!!

Yeah, don't ever get THAT virus!

Took a total of 18 hours to get that off my computer and now I am back out of touch of what's happening!

Anyway, I'm off to El Paso for a few days to visit my grandparents, then back home (former home :( ) California to visit parents for holiday.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holdiay!!!

Love Shell~

*Waves*

Hi all!

1. Wanted to pop out and say Happy Birthday to all the March babies!!

2. I've moved. OUT OF CALIFORNIA. OMG, I never thought I'd leave that state, but we did it! My older sister lives a bit north of Denver, CO and my younger sister recently moved out here with her, so well, I just had to go too! Well that reason, amongst others... the only thing that kept us in Cali were my parents. And Disneyland. Alas, I cannot take Disneyland with me, but I can take my parents. Their house is in escrow, my dad can stay working the same company out of his home, my hubby got an okay job for now out here and so... off we went!

I'm living now in Arvada, if anyone is close to there... It's much slower pace out here, and everything feels really close because as you know, I'm used to driving 30-100 miles or more a day just to piddle around town... Well, out here, 30 miles puts you on the wayyyy other side of town, so it's pretty nice and relaxing. The apartments we moved into are new, but we are currently on the 4th floor, waiting for our ground floor apartment to open up. Dude. The flight of stairs, 5300 feet above sea level--ack!!! And with the two big dogs--bigger ACK! But it's nice to be around my sister's again.

3. I have one more chapter of my 2 year WIP to finish writing and I will finally be DONE! YEAH!

4. Well, I guess that's about it...

*Waves to flist*

Things going on with Shell lately:

My fucked up boss/owner couldn't pay me because he owed too much money to others so I asked him to give me a lay off. I'm now currently sitting at home BORED OFF MY ASS. I miss being the boss at work. I miss the paycheck (When there WAS one and I didn't work for free). But I don't miss the commute!!

Youngest daughter just had her 14th birthday.

Been reading the TrueBlood books.

Am one chapter away from completing my almost-2-yrs-in-the-making WIP, Consuming Me.

Hate my ghetto neighborhood where the neighbors are always having the cops come by for some reason or another. (But this should be fixed soon... more on that later)

That's about it.

Oh, I got The Sims 2--I love that game, my three favorite things all rolled into 1: Playing computer games, Porn, and Playing God. Yes, I kill my sims. It's my therapy.

Hi Flist!

Hi everyone!!!

Okay, I'm using my mom's computer because mine hasn't been working in 2 weeks, plus I've moved... but trust me, I have not NOT forgotten about any of you guys!

I miss everyone so much and do hope you guys are doing well... I know I'm so out of touch and I'm sorry. Because of the move, I know drive 100 miles each way to and from work, so time is not something I have a lot of anymore...

Happy birthday to anyone I missed.

Congrats on anything going on in your life... babies? weddings?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Holidays! (I'm squeezing this all in as you can tell...)

As soon as I get my computer fixed, I have bought the new Microsoft word, so I'll contiuning writing my WIP and a spooky story I had wanted done for Halloween... at the rate I'm going, it'll be done next year. Hmmmm...

Anyway, miss you guys so much!

Lots of love, hugs, and kisses...

Shell~
